This Privacy Policy, which is part of the Terms and Conditions, governs how we handle your personal information that you provide and that we collect. When visiting our website, you shall be required through a pop-up banner to read and agree to the Privacy Policy. We, Jinja Dae Gil OPC, the owner of the brand “Marche Méritouais”, is a retail shop, operating online through its website, www.marchemeritouais.com. We respect the privacy of your personal information that we collect. Hence, we commit to protect such personal information during collection, usage, storage, processing, retention, and disposal, in accordance with Philippine laws, specifically Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC), including the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality. We are exempt from mandatory registration with the NPC, and have submitted the necessary sworn declaration and undertaking in that regard.
Applicable Law and EU’s General Data Protection Regulation
Privacy and protection of personal information shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Article 3 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union (EU) regarding the application of the GDPR outside the EU does not apply to our business. We do not knowingly process personal information of people who are in the European Union by offering goods or services to such people or monitoring their behavior in the EU. Likewise, we do not knowingly process personal information in a place where EU Member State law applies by virtue of public international law.
Information You Provide on Our Website
We do not collect sensitive personal information. For your protection, we do not collect your birthday for discount purposes as this will reveal your age.

By communicating with us on our social media channels, we collect your username, which may contain personal information such as your name. We do not collect any personal information in social media channels, so customers must not voluntarily share any personal information.
How We Protect Personal Information
We shall keep all personal information in a secure and confidential manner by implementing adequate physical, organizational, and technical security measures. Only authorized personnel, including employees and consultants, or third-party providers can access your personal information, and this is on a need-to-know basis.
We also designed our account creation platform to require complex passwords.
How Long We Keep the Information
Your personal information will be kept only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose of the collection and processed, but not exceeding 10 years from our receipt of such information.
In case you unsubscribe from our newsletter, Brevo will indefinitely retain your email address in its blocklist to avoid sending you our e-newsletter again. We can access the blocklist, but we will not use it to send our e-newsletters. Unsubscribing will not prevent you from creating an account or otherwise using your email address during checkout. However, you may opt to request deletion of your email address from our e-newsletter by sending an email to bonjour@marchemeritouais.com; the deleted email address cannot be restored.

You have the following rights: right to be informed, right to damages, right to access, right to file a complaint, right to object, right to rectify, right to erasure or blocking, and right to data portability.
