Marché Méritouais is pronounced MARsheh MERitweh.
Marché means “market” in French.
Méritouais is something we made up. It is a meaningful portmanteau of two French words – mérite (worthy) and ouais (yeah).
Marché Méritouais is the first and only store in the Philippines dedicated to offering crème de la crème home treasures from various parts of France.
And so, we’re like an overseas extension of Paris, in the Philippines, virtually like Paris’ 22nd district, or in French, arrondissement. (Paris has 20 districts, and the 21st district is already used to refer to certain places within France where Parisians go for vacation).
Marché Méritouais offers only the home treasures from France that have the effect of enchanting, enriching, & envigorating spaces à la française, our selection criteria that intentionally use words with Old French origins: enchanter, enrichier, and envigorer.
Marché Méritouais offers home treasures from various parts of France as an authorized distributor. As such, these products are sourced directly from the French brands or artists themselves (or in the case of Mme. Fabienne Delacroix, her art derivatives licensees, namely, Éditions Hervé Chopin and Puzzle Michèle Wilson), assuring clients of authenticity and quality.
For its launch in 2026, Marché Méritouais brings together products from French heritage and modern brands: Cristel, Degrenne (now Guy Degrenne), Forge de Laguiole, Le Jacquard Français, Mauviel, Moustache, Prosper (by Rossignol), and Puzzle Michèle Wilson. Most of them are Living Heritage Companies recognized by the French government.
Marché Méritouais also offers art derivatives like art books and fine art prints from the following living French artists: Fabienne Delacroix, Francois Ravard, Mathieu Forget, and Thierry Duval.
Exceptionally, Marché Méritouais offers select France-themed books (on French food, fashion, architecture, etc.) published by Rizzoli Publications, New York, USA.
Marché Méritouais is a trade name owned by Jinja Dae Gil OPC, a Filipino corporation duly organized and existing under Philippine laws, and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of Trade and Industry, National Book Development Board, and the relevant local government units, among others.
Its corporate address is at Unit 2C Green Brier Bldg. The Horizon Tagaytay Highlands, Barangay Tranca, Talisay City, Province of Batangas, Philippines 4220
