This 18/10 stainless steel frying pan with brushed finish reflects a rich history, that has brought about a turning point in the world of cookware. 1826 saw the creation of the world’s first stamped saucepan, manufactured at our factory in Fesches-le-Châtel. Nearly two centuries later, this new collection, symbolically named 1826, takes its inspiration from the past while embodying the modernity, innovation and passion that drive Cristel every day.

Its induction-compatible, heat-diffusing base in three superimposed layers (induction stainless steel – aluminium – 18/10 stainless steel) guarantees even heat distribution across its entire surface, so you can sear a piece of meat or sauté a medley of vegetables effortlessly, without the need to add fat.

In addition to its performance, this pan is designed for compact storage, optimising space in your kitchen. Its heat-resistant, ergonomic and firmly-riveted handle does not conduct heat, providing a pleasant grip with no risk of burns and enhanced safety in the kitchen.

About the Brand

Founded in 1983, in Fesches-le-Châtel, a commune in the Burgundy region in eastern France, within the Doubs department, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Cristel has been a leader in the production of stainlesss steel cookware, combining innovation with a 200-year tradition. In 1987, it took over the manufacturing house in Fesches-le-Châtel where the world’s first stamped pan was produced. For its know-how and craftsmanship, Cristel has been granted a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label by the French government.
